Chelsea's possible opponents in the UCL

Chelsea fate of bettering their last seasons champions League run would be known today as the European action gets back to action in a couple of weeks.

Today evening,the London based club will know which clubs they will face in the group stages as their opponents will be determined.

UEFA coefficient rankings will be used.This are rankings that are used by UEFA and international football governing bodies to seed teams.Clubs earn points based on there previous European competition performances.Points are the tallied over the past five seasons to give each team its coefficient.

Chelsea's coefficient stands at 83 points,that is upto last season which ranks them at position 15 jointly will French side Lyon; a factor that is attributed to lack of European football in the 2016/17 season.
   

Chelsea may earn a trip back to Munich to face Bayern Munchen the team that eliminated them in the round of 16 last season.They may also face the finalist Paris Saint Germain.

Since they are in pot 2 Chelsea cannot face either Barcelona Atletico Madrid and the other teams in the pot.Sevilla or Turk side Instanbul Basakheir may be their opponents for the first time im recent years at the competitions groups stage.

                   Dynamo Kyiv
                    Rennes
                   Chelsea.

In another possible group opponents Chelsea may face:
        
            Bayern Munich
            Sevilla
