Simba Sc Cruise to CAF champions league quarters

Tanzanian football giants Simba Sc have qualified into the CAF champions league quarter finals after thrashing Sudanese side Al Merrikh 3-0.
Mozambique sensation Luis Miquissone opened the scoring in the 18' minute to put the reds ahead after pouncing on a loose ball.

Simba controlled the match with the better of possession and attacks and were awarded in the 38 minute with second goal coming from Mohamed Hussein who made a brilliant run to beat the visitors goalkeeper with a far post shot.Simba headed to the break with a 2-0 advantage.
Notably Simba were dealt a blow after there on form center back,Kenyan Joash Onyango was subbed off due to an injury.
The second half started on a high with both teams making a series of attacks but it was Simba who were awarded in the 49' minute with Chris Mugalu making the scores 3-0.
Mugalu controlled the ball skillfully from a Luis Miquissone cross to put the ball at the back of the net with a powerful shot to the opposing teama goalkeepers' no,reach.
The Tanzanian football power house Coach Didier Gomes was pleases with the victory and takes the club to the quarterfinals for the second time in their history.He pointed out thatthe fact that they are still unbeaten is a morale boosting at there camp.
In other results in the group reigning African champions Al Ahly cruised past DRC side Vita club Sc 0-3.
Simba lead the group with 10 points followed by Al Ahly with 7 Vita are third with 4 points while Al Merrikh close with a point.
